Danny Handweiler began his career in real estate in the Newport Beach office of Marcus & Millichap, where he spent two years specializing in selling office buildings. He then joined Marcus & Millichap’s West Los Angeles office where he switched his focus to distressed asset sales, marketing, and selling bank-owned properties for a variety of lenders.
After learning the fundamentals of commercial real estate brokerage, Danny decided to broaden his knowledge of commercial real estate investing and valuation by pursuing a Master of Science in Real Estate from New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate. It had a been a lifelong dream of Danny’s to live and work in New York City, so the decision came naturally.
After graduating, Danny worked as a financial analyst for Peter Von Der Ahe + Partners. He spent one year mastering the nuances of New York City multifamily valuation before realizing that his heart was still in real estate brokerage, which is why he elected to rejoin the sales force as an investment associate in the Manhattan office of Marcus & Millichap. Danny grew up in Irvine, California. He went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Southern California and a Masters of Real Estate from New York University.
