Scott Edelstein’s career in real estate commenced at the young age of 19, when he first started selling residential property to pay for college. After graduating from California State University, Northridge, Scott furthered his quest for knowledge by earning a Master’s degree in Communications from Northwestern University. Joining Marcus & Millichap’s Manhattan Multifamily team in 2006, Scott quickly became a leader in the Manhattan investment sales market. He is now highly regarded as one of the most active mixed-use and multi-family specialists in the borough.
During his eight years with Marcus & Millichap, Scott’s commitment and creativity has made him a top producer within the Manhattan office. His tenacity and attention to detail have repeatedly benefitted his clients by garnering market-making sale prices. Some of his recent notable transactions include the impressive Inwood Multifamily Portfolio, which closed for $31,000,000; the OREP Midwest Portfolio, which closed for $57,700,000; and a massive Northern Manhattan Portfolio consisting of 130 units which sold for $23,300,000.
Scott’s vast New York Multifamily knowledge has positioned him as a leading expert among Marcus & Millichap’s National Multi Housing Group, Special Asset Services Group, and the Institutional Property Advisor’s Apartment Group. He also serves as Marcus and Millchap’s Manhattan office technology expert, providing technical assistance to all team members.
The recipient of many awards, some of Scott’s most notable achievements include receiving the National Achievement Award three years in a row (2012, 2013 and 2014) and receiving six Sales Recognition Awards. Away from the office, Scott enjoys playing the guitar and spending time with his wife and two young boys. He is an avid photographer and technology guru who currently resides on the Upper West Side.
